“The Fires of War” is a collection of characters from the golden age of comic books and pulp novels, set during World War II. Superhumans with powers and abilities beyond those of mortal men fight alongside masked men of mystery, keeping the homeland safe while America's premiere superhero team, The Sentinels, and the United Kingdom's Defenders of the Crown square off against the Einsatzgruppen Ubersoldaten, the powerful Nazi ubermen and their Japanese and Atlantean allies.

Gaining its power from Dr. Thule's black magic and Dr. Venonika Von Frankenstein's equally dark science, and combined with Atlantean technology and the Japanese gods who walk like men, the Axis of Evil also sports such evil men as Der Falken, baron of the skies, Ungeheuer, the ogre-man, and Hachiman, god of war. Meanwhile, wreaking havoc back home are criminals of all kinds, such as Salamanca, the sky pirate, with his partner Fetish, the living voodoo doll, Maximus Rex, king of the dinosaur men living on the mysterious Wakefield Island, the Emperor of Heaven, the Chinese warlord who rules the Red Moon, and Dagon, usurper of Atlantis' throne.

On the Allied side, the Sentinels, led by Anthem, the super-soldier, and the Defenders of the Crown, led by Pendragon, inheritor of Albion's mighty sword Caliburn, have a few independent heroes by their sides. Cogito, the man of perfect mind and body, Doc Epoch and the Time Savers, the Fearless Five, and Quentin “King Congo” McKenzie are willing to lend a fist to fight against evil.

In addition to the characters, the book will also include example headquarters and vehicles, plot hooks galore, an extensive timeline, new feats, and some optional new rules.

“The Fires of War” is a 128 page softcover book with black & white interior art. It retails for $24.95.
